This page explains the roles, responsibilities, and payment arrangements between Syok, Merchants, and Members when using the Syok E-Membership Services.

1. Parties Involved

Syok

Syok operates an online platform that provides e-membership, listing, and e-marketing services. Syok acts solely as a technology and intermediary platform that connects Merchants and Members.

Merchant

A Merchant is a company or organization that subscribes to a Syok Merchant Plan to promote and offer its products or services to Members.

Member

A Member is an individual consumer who subscribes to a Syok Member Plan to access offers, promotions, or services provided by Merchants.

2. Role of Syok

Syok:

  • Provides the platform for Merchants to list and promote their offers
  • Enables Members to discover and engage with Merchants
  • Facilitates connections between Merchants and Members

Syok does not:

  • Sell or supply goods or services offered by Merchants
  • Act as the merchant of record
  • Collect, process, hold, or disburse transaction payments between Members and Merchants

Syok is not a party to any transaction entered into between a Merchant and a Member.

3. Transactions Between Merchant and Member

All transactions for products or services listed on the Syok platform are conducted directly between the Merchant and the Member.

The Merchant is solely responsible for:

  • Providing the products or services
  • Setting prices, terms, and conditions
  • Fulfilling orders
  • Handling refunds, cancellations, disputes, and complaints
  • Issuing receipts or invoices
  • Complying with all applicable laws and regulations

4. Payment Collection

Members acknowledge and agree that:

  • Payments are collected directly by the Merchant
  • Payments made by Members are not collected by Syok
  • Any payment obligation exists solely between the Member and the Merchant

Merchants are authorized to collect payment from Members for transactions concluded through the Syok platform.

5. Syok Fees

Any subscription fees or platform fees payable to Syok by Merchants or Members are:

  • Separate from transaction payments between Merchants and Members
  • Governed by the applicable Syok subscription terms

Syok does not receive transaction payments made by Members to Merchants unless explicitly stated in a separate written agreement.

6. Member Consent

By registering for a Syok account, subscribing to Syok E-Membership Services, or proceeding with any transaction, Members expressly acknowledge and agree that:

  • Syok acts only as an intermediary platform;
  • The Merchant is the seller and payment collector;
  • Payments made by Members are made directly to the Merchant.

Members confirm that they have read and understood these terms before engaging in any transaction.

7. Limitation of Liability

Syok shall not be responsible or liable for:

  • The quality, safety, legality, or availability of Merchant offerings
  • Any payment disputes, chargebacks, or refunds
  • Any loss or damage arising from transactions between Merchants and Members

Any disputes must be resolved directly between the Merchant and the Member.

8. Updates to This Page

Syok may update these Platform Terms & Transaction Responsibilities from time to time.
Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
